EVEN THE FLOWERS TEE

"And why do you worry about clothes? Observe how the wildflowers of the field grow: They don’t labor or spin thread. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these. If that’s how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won’t he do much more for you — you of little faith?" Matt 6:28-30, CSB.

In the Sermon on the Mount recorded in the gospel of Matthew, Jesus tells us to not worry about our life, in the quoted section regarding what we wear. He tells us that not even Solomon, a king who "surpassed all the kings of the world in riches and in wisdom" (1 Kings 10:23-25) was clothed like one of the wildflowers of the field. This piece of clothes serves to remind the wearer that they are clothed by God in righteousness by the blood of Jesus and not to worry about their life, because God provides for all of our needs.

The text on the back of the shirt encapsulates these ideas by quoting Matthew 6:29, explaining that we can "Rest in God and be clothed by Him greater than Solomon," and that "By God's grace I am eternally clothed in righteousness."
